SQLPen runs sqlpen.com. This page explains what we collect when you visit the website, join the waitlist, or contact us, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we save your email address, the date you signed up, and which sign-up form you used.
When you use the contact form, we receive your email address and message in our email inbox so we can respond.
To stop spam, we count waitlist and contact-form attempts using a hashed version of your IP address. These counters expire after about an hour and are stored separately from your email and message.
Our hosting provider may process technical information, such as IP addresses and browser details, in logs used to operate and secure the site.
Why we collect it
We use waitlist emails to tell you about SQLPen's launch and early access. We use contact messages and your email address to handle your request and reply to you. Contacting us does not add you to the waitlist.
We don't sell or rent your email address or contact messages, or share them for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist email until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it for the launch.
Contact messages and replies are kept in our email inbox. You can ask us to delete them through the contact page.
Services that help us
Neon stores the waitlist. Upstash stores the temporary spam-prevention counters. Resend delivers emails, including contact-form messages, and our email provider stores the messages we receive and send.
Simple Analytics and Google Analytics provide website usage statistics. Our hosting provider serves the site and processes requests to the forms.
Website analytics and browser storage
We use Simple Analytics to understand how people find and use the website. It reports information such as page views, referral sources, browser and device types, approximate country, and time spent on pages.
Simple Analytics does not use cookies or store IP addresses, and does not track people across websites. We do not send your waitlist email or contact message to it.
Our Simple Analytics configuration also counts visits from browsers with Do Not Track enabled.
The site may store your theme preference in your browser to remember its appearance. This preference is not used for advertising.
Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics on the marketing website to measure visits and understand how people use our pages. Google receives information such as the pages you visit, referral sources, and browser and device details.
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. We do not send your waitlist email address or contact-message content to Google Analytics.
You can manage or clear cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
How Google uses information and the choices available to you.
Your choices
You can ask to see, change, or delete your waitlist information or contact messages at any time. Send us a message from our contact page and we'll reply within 30 days. To leave the waitlist, ask us to remove your email through the contact page.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top. When SQLPen launches, this page will be extended to cover the app.
